Electronic- pop legends Metronomy are gearing up for a huge upcoming few months, as they release their new album ‘Metronomy Forever’ this September, followed by a highly anticipated UK tour.
The band shared another synth-laden new track from the album, called “Walking in the Dark”, which delivers a mesmerising blend of vintage synths, wonky dancehall and dub-fuelled psychedelia. Directed by frontman Jospeh Mount, the music video immerses fans in a world of 90’s pop nostalgia and colliding 3D animation.
In a statement about the music video, Metronomy said:
“The ‘Walking in the Dark’ video is the age old tale of the guru and the fisherman set against a green screen backdrop. Clara (who provided the 3D animation) is someone I became aware of through a collaboration between ourselves and Central St Martins college in London a few years ago. Her style is completely unique and something I was desperate to make part of the video. The song is one of my favorites from the new record and gives a wonderful taste of how eclectic the album is.”
