Only in its second week since release, Hozier’s new album ‘Wasteland, Baby’ has scored his first No. 1 album on the US Billboard 200 chart. The album is the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to his eponymous 2014 debut, featuring breakthrough smash-single ‘Take Me To Church’, which now amasses almost 1 BILLION streams on Spotify. ‘Wasteland, Baby’ itself, has earned 89,000 album hits in its debut week, ranking it as the first rock album to lead the Billboard 200 in more than three months since Mumford & Sons’ ‘Delta’.
Speaking of the achievement, Hozier took to Twitter: “Can’t quite put it into words. Thank you, so so much to the fans for this #1.
