Introducing… Lewis Bootle

Share:

An independent artist from Hertfordshire, Lewis Bootle grabbed the music world’s attention with his debut E.P ‘Friction In The Funds’, in 2015. Being praised for the natural talent in storytelling and intricate lyricism that shined through in his debut E.P, it wasn’t long before fame for Lewis came trickling in.

Lewis Bootle grew up on a mix of Madness, The Clash and Jamie T, expanding his tastes to artists such as Frank Ocean later in life. He puts his own twist on the singer-songwriter genre, incorporating spoken work into some of his songs, combining everything together with infectious pop melodies.

It was a combination of his Dad’s taste in music and his Grandads musical background of being a swing/jazz drummer which made Lewis get into playing and making music in the first place.
In 2015, Lewis was named Best of British Unsigned Male Of The Year, and later that year, he was chosen to support Frank Turner at an intimate gig at London’s Union Chapel in Islington, in the lead up to Christmas.

In the last two years, Lewis has kept up his consistency in releasing catchy, thought-provoking songs, as well as performing at Glastonbury, Bestival and Standon Calling. His track, ‘Price Of It All’ climbed quickly into the Spotify Top 10 Viral Chart, which lead to a sold-out performance at The Camden Assembly in 2017.

Lewis Bootle has recently released an 8-track concept ‘mini album’, which will have 3 videos to tracks that underline how ‘technology dictates relationships’. ‘Different Worlds’ was released on 2nd November, accompanied by an animation done by Lewis Bootle himself.

Lewis will be performing at The Omeara, in London, on the 17th December. Tickets for this show are available via: http://gigst.rs/LewisB
