Hi Casino. Thanks for joining us!
Originating in Liverpool, Casino has developed a unique bluesey soul sound. Where did your musical influences stem from?
We all have our own individual tastes but there are certain genres or artists that we all share. A lot of soul, disco and funk stuff gets played in the van when we’re together. I think that will start to show further down the line as we keep releasing music
What are your top 3 albums on repeat at the moment?’
Nu Genea- Bar Mediterraneo
Supreme Jubilees- It’ll All be Over
Syl Johnson- Foxy Brown
You’ve been busy on the festival circuit this summer – what has been your favourite experience so far?
I’d say Y Not festival was the highlight so far. Had a really good crowd that seemed to get right into it so we all enjoyed that quite a lot
What would be your dream venue to play?
Probably one of those big South American ones like River Plate
Casino will be joining us at Neighbourhood Festival this year! What can fans expect from your live set?
We try to keep it as upbeat as possible so plenty of opportunity for people to dance which we encourage. Just as many 3 minute songs as we can fit in!
Thanks for speaking with us!
