Big Image will play two headline shows this month, performing at The Shacklewell Arms in London on 21st February, before playing The Castle Hotel in Manchester on 22nd February. We caught up with the band ahead of these shows.
Why should people come to your shows?
We’re 100% one of the best live bands in the UK and we’ve always been known for having an amazing live show from start to finish, it’s what we do best and we pride ourselves on that.
What was your highlight from 2022?
We played at Community festival in London in the summer. It was the biggest festival crowd we’ve ever played to and from the outset the energy was incredible, mosh pits, crowdsurfing, you name it.
Any New Year’s Resolutions?
To take the year by storm, we’ve got a-lot of new music to release.
For those who haven’t seen you live before, what can they expect from your set?
We’ve definitely always been known for having an absolutely mental live show, it really infuriates me when you see bands that have been given an amazing opportunity to support whatever band it may be or to play in front of a huge audience and not give it everything they’ve got. We play every show like it’s our last.
What’s your favourite song to play live?
At the moment my favourite song to play is our new single ‘Late Nights’ before it was released we had people coming up to us asking ‘what song is that?!’ and on this tour its the first time people have been able to listen to it before seeing us, so we cant wait to hear everyone singing the words back to us.
Can fans expect any surprises?
We’re going to be trying out a few new songs, it’s always great to test them out and see what the audience reaction is like.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
For us, we like a little bit of everything, from the Chemical Brothers to A Tribe Called Quest to Foals. Big image is a cocktail of all of the music we like.
Big Image will be performing in London and Manchester on the 21st and 22nd February.
