After departing as front man of post-punk trio Dead Pretties, Jacob Slater is exploring a new realm of music now as Wunderhorse. Cub, Wunderhorse’s debut album was released in October 2022 and features themes of growth, heartache and discomfort through Jacob’s bold songwriting.

Liverpool band STONE have paved their own musical path merging genres from rock and indie to post-punk and house. With performance successes supporting the likes of Sam Fender and Yungblud, the band have just released their debut EP Punkadonk exploring their own musical creativity.

Five- piece SLANT are definitely ones to watch for 2023. Having just supported Wet Leg in London, the group create a hybrid of indie-alternative music, producing hits such as ‘Eat The Moon’ and ‘Haircut’.

Dolores Forever

Dolores Forever are made up of duo Hannah Wilson and Julia Fabrin who together create beautiful indie-pop music. This year, the duo have performed at Glastonbury and Neighbourhood Festival to an ever growing fan base as their debut EP Baby Teeth saw them pick up a wide spread of support.

Rachel Chinouriri

With her song ‘So My Darling’ receiving huge amounts of TikTok attention, Rachel Chinouriri has grown in popularity and has since released her third EP Better Off Without. Her track ‘All I Ever Asked’ was chosen by BBC Radio 1 host Clara Amfo as Hottest Record In The World.

The Royston Club

After debuting in 2019 with their single ‘Shawshank’, The Royston Club have since played at Neighbourhood Festival and embarked on their first UK headline tour. The indie four-piece are known for their hit track ‘Mrs Narcissistic’ and their recent single ‘Old Man’s Knees’.

London based four-piece Malady, create alternative music influenced by a mixture of genres including dub, post-rave, early dub-step, IDM and indie. The band’s most recognizable track is their debut single ‘London, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down’.

At just 17, flowerovlove has showcased that her talents are well beyond her years as she proves she is Gen Z’s next lo-fi superstar. Earlier this year, flowerovlove released her EP A Mosh Pit In The Clouds following the success of her hits ‘Hannah Montana’ and ‘Malibu’.

Drum and bass artist Venbee recently became Tik Tok viral with her track ‘Low Down’. The track has over 22 million Spotify streams and has been used in over 170 thousand Tik Tok Videos. More recently, Venbee released her second single ‘Messy In Heaven’ which is quickly becoming another viral Tik Tok sound.

Labelled as one of the most exciting new British bands, Overpass, create anthemic indie music. With a succession of sold out headline shows, the Midlands-based quartet have had a successful summer performing across festivals.

Pixey is an indie-pop artist whose music contains intricately crafted guitar work topped with dreamy melodies. After recently signing to the label Chess Club, Pixey released her single ‘Just Move’. If Pixey’s successes couldn’t be more impressive, her guitar and production talents are all self-taught.

Kid Kapichi

With music described as ‘beat punk’, Kid Kapichi are a four-piece band originating from Hastings. They received their first big break after performing at Frank Turner’s birthday and before being invited to join him on tour. The band have since released their album Here’s What You Could Have Won.

With internet personality Wilbur Soot as frontman, Lovejoy are an indie band based in Brighton on the rise. After forming in 2020, they released their debut album Pebble Brain in 2021, and have since performed two full-capacity sets at Neighbourhood Festival in Gorilla and Canvas, both to a wild audience.

The Mary Wallopers

Irish folk music group, The Mary Wallopers originally began as a trio before expanding to a 7-piece band. In October 2022, they released their self-titled debut album featuring fan-favourite ‘Cod Liver Oil & The Orange Juice’.

Seb Lowe

News spread fast about Seb Lowe, the 18 year old singer-songwriter, as he first shared his music through the social media platform, Tik Tok. His most popular song ‘Kill Him (He’s A Socialist)’ showcases Seb’s songwriting abilities and his bold, passionate approach to covering political topics.

49th & Main

Hailing from Kilkenny, Ireland, 49th & Main consist of the duo Ben O’Sullivan (producer) and Paddy King (multi-instrumentalist/ vocalist). In March 2020 they released their first single ‘Party Alone’ but it wasn’t until they released their lo-fi hip-hop hit in April 2020 ‘Catching Eyes’ when they received a wave of attention. The track has now reached over 19 million Spotify streams.


Mom Tudie

Mom Tudie is a music producer hailing from South London. His music explores a combination of genres which he describes as ‘DIY jazz R&B’ and showcases his talents as a multi-instrumentalist and self-taught production skills. With over 3.8 million streams on his track ‘2’ featuring Byulah, Mom Tudie is in high demand working with artists such as Tom Misch, Sophie Faith and Blake.



With over 120 thousand Tik Tok followers, Maisi has built a fanbase through the platform sharing her dance-pop music. Maisi shared her first single in 2021 ‘Guess I’m In Love’ and has since supported dance-pop duo Piri and Tommy on their UK tour.



Felix and Hugo White from indie band The Maccabees have newly formed 86TVs with their brother Will. The band played their debut gig at London’s Omeara and have since performed as support for Jamie T on his UK tour. Fans are eagerly awaiting official music releases from the new band.

Cathy Jain

Alt-pop singer-songwriter Cathy Jain incorporates various elements into her music. Now at 18 her music represents her maturity and talent through her dreamy vocals and authentic lyrics for example in her debut single ‘cool kid’.

Bonnie Kemplay

Edinburgh-born singer-songwriter Bonnie Kemplay was named BBC Radio 1’s UK top emerging artist in 2021 out of over 10,000 applicants with her winning original track ‘Blushing’. She has since signed to Dirty Hit, released her EP Running Out of Things To Say, Running Out Of Things To Do and announced that she will be supporting The 1975 on their UK tour.


Dead Pony

Scottish post-punk band Dead Pony are most known for their 2020 single ’23, Never Me’ with over 1.5 million streams. The band released their debut EP War Boys earlier this year and have since performed in some incredible venues across the UK including O2 Forum Kentish Town, First Direct Arena alongside a busy festival season playing Tramlines and Neighbourhood Festival.


Hannah Grae

Hannah Grae rose to Tik Tok fame after joining the app in 2020 and sharing videos. Her most popular video has reached over 6.2 million views and shows Hannah’s reinterpreted version of Aqua’s Barbie Girl. Since her viral success Hannah has released her newest singles ‘Propaganda’ and ‘Time of Your Life’.

Nieve Ella

With a total of 2.3 million likes on her Tik Tok videos, Nieve Ella has gained a huge following on social media. The alt-pop singer shares videos of her playing guitar and singing her favourite covers as well as promoting her upcoming music. Nieve has been performing her music at festivals such as Neighbourhood Festival.
