Get ready, gig-goers! The ninth annual Independent Venue Week celebrations are about to kick off with their first in-person events since the pandemic began back in 2020, at the end of this month…

Taking place from January 31 to February 6, this year’s special celebration will see over one hundred grassroot music venues host events in over sixty locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

“By championing these venues, we are able to highlight why they are so much more than just places for live music – they are cultural hubs for learning, creativity, arts and culture more widely connecting people in their local community of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, genders, skills and walks of life.” – Independent Venue Week

Here’s a few of our top picks for IVW shows across Manchester, Birmingham, London and Leeds – featuring Example, Icarus, BBC Music Introducing & more.

See you there! 🤘
