Introducing… The KTNA

Born in Kenya but raised in Manchester, the KTNA twins are quickly rising to the top.  Hope and Millie Katana channel their experiences into a vulnerable, emotionally expressive heart-on-their-sleeve sound. If you haven’t already heard of the girls, their sound isn’t easily classified – the twins weave their candid lyrics around unique productions to create music which demands to be noticed.

Their first taste of fame was an unexpected one – appearing on the hit TV show Waterloo Road back when they were just 14. But the girls left the screen for the studio two years later to pursue their authentic calling – music. Their debut EP, released in 2019, titled Life Under Siege recounted in depth topics, such as battles with mental health, delivered in sultry, emotive style – and this project earned the girls their reputation as the “sisters of darkness”. The KTNA explain, “during this pandemic lots of people have lost their jobs, their freedoms, and sometimes their sanity. Life Under Siege has helped people through this pandemic by making people feel seen, heard, and understood. It has been an outlet for so many to cry too. Sometimes that’s all you need…”

But the two Mancunians continued to develop their sonic composition throughout the pandemic, turning to lighter, more up-beat vibes. The result of this is new self-written and self-produced project Resurgence.

The KTNA are delighted to be looking forward as they announce their debut UK tour, playing four shows throughout March and April, 2022. Go grab a ticket to see them live now:
