Interview with… Mirror Fury

The mysterious and emotive Mirror Fury from Gloucestershire have opened up to talk Suits, The Cranberries and their upcoming London show…

If you could travel back in time to an era of music, which would it be and why?

I’ve always loved the 80s music scene, I’d love to go back and experience what that time was really like.

The Cranberries influenced you quite a bit, right?

The first CD I owned was a Cranberries album. Dolores voice was just so unique, and the lyrics were always so personal which I connected to. It’s definitely something I took with me when writing my own music.

You were featured on Suits, right? What did that feel like?

I actually never watched Suits previously, I never knew how popular it was until the feature and the response we had from It was so unexpected but amazing.

What was the first song you ever wrote?

I was around 10 when my dad’s best friend died, I was so upset and I wrote a song about it, it was something I was really proud of at the time.

Have you got any new material coming out this year?

There’s a release coming out finally, and it’s going to be really soon. I’m hoping for at least 2 releases before the end of the year.

Are you looking forward to your upcoming London show?

I can’t wait, I haven’t played London for ages, so it’ll be a great welcome back.

What can people expect from your live show?

A lot of emotion and honesty.

Do you enjoy interacting with your audience when playing live?

I love interacting with the audience and having a beer with them after finishing a show.
