Gig Preview… Fuzzy Sun UK Tour

Share:

Fuzzy Sun There’s only one more week before Stockport indie five-piece Fuzzy Sun embark on their debut headline UK tour, which begins at The Leadmill in Sheffield!

Fans can expect a mellow journey through melodic, psychedelic pop. The freshly formed line-up, fronted by the lulling vocals of Kyle Ross, sees a distinct and original take on chorus-heavy reveries. Daisy Valentine’s bold and melancholic synth, coupled with sweet and seductive harmonies is equally complemented by Lewis Jobson & Mitch Bancroft’s strong soothing groove through the rhythm section. Fuzzy Sun bring you contemporary pop, infused with psychedelia, dipped in noughties R’n’B nostalgia, with just a hint of disco flare.

Last year saw Fuzzy Sun make their breakthrough with the release of debut EP Want Love and follow-up Warm Evening / Cold Morning. The latter’s leading single ‘Heavy’ was playlisted on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, while second single ‘Eve‘ was added to Spotify’s official New Music Friday and The Indie List playlists.

Their rise has been heavily supported by the likes of Dork and NME, who tipped them as one of their essential artists for 2019. Radio X also named Fuzzy Sun in their Great X-Pectations listicle, supported by the Manchester Evening News as their #1 Breakthrough Act For 2019.

They’ve become known as stable supports for fellow Stockport indie collective Blossoms, who they toured with on their ‘Charlemagne’ UK tour last December; and are due to join them for their sold out show at Stockport County’s 15,000-capacity Edgeley Park.
