Introducing… Isaac Gracie

Share:

Isaac Gracie started out as a chorister at the age of seven, working his way up to becoming head chorister by the time her was sixteen. From when he was young, Isaac Gracie had incredibly powerful vocals, reaching ranges most people found difficult.
After having to leave the choir when his voice broke, Isaac Gracie discovered the guitar and veered off the path of classical music towards popular music.

His gift for songwriting and singing became stronger, as he taught himself by ear how to play songs by Jeff Buckley and Bob Dylan, which resulted in him winning a school music contest. This ignited a spark in him, giving him inspiration to begin work on his own music.

Isaac Gracie was studying Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, when his music career- very suddenly- took off. His demo track, ‘Last Words’, attracted the attention of the head of Universal Music, who- after listening to the track- flew from LA to watch Isaac Gracie perform in London. Isaac recalls that it was ‘like going from 0 to 60’.

He signed to Virgin EMI and released his debut E.P, ‘Songs From My Bedroom’ in early 2016. Since then, it has been a whirlwind in Isaac Gracie’s career in music. He has gone from making and recording music in his home studio in his bedroom (hence the title of his E.P), to recording in a professional studio with a backing band- something he absolutely loves.

Due to how quickly his career has taken off and how quickly Isaac has gained popularity, he often has moments of self-doubt. He needn’t doubt himself though, with songs from his debut, self-titled album reaching millions of streams on Spotify and tour dates in January of this year selling out. His folk/indie rock music with emotional, unapologetic lyrics are addictive to listen to- citing influences from huge music industry stars such as Radiohead and aforementioned Jeff Buckley.

Isaac Gracie will be rounding off 2018 with another UK tour in November, which will start at new music venue, YES, in Manchester on the 19th November. Isaac has already been teasing new music on his Twitter, which fans at the shows will be able to get an exclusive listen to.
