American singer-songwriter Moses Sumney will be coming to Manchester this Wednesday 19th September, following the release of his new E.P ‘Black in Deep Red, 2014’.
His music has gained huge success and attention in recent months, with Mary-Anne Hobbs making his single ‘Call To Arms’ in her BBC6 Music ‘6 Music Recommends playlist and his new video for ‘Rank & File’ gaining attention from music publications worldwide.
DIY Magazine said it was a ‘stunning one-take performance’ which was recorded live in Paris. Clash Magazine described what happens in the video as ‘this beautifully rendering finds Moses turning his body into an instrument- from those percussive thumps to his mellifluous voice’.
‘Rank & File’ has been a staple of his live shows for years, and fans now get to see its unique visual in full colour through the live video.
Moses was also nominated for the AIM Awards Video of the Year 2018 and International Breakthrough of the Year 2018.
