When London four-piece Stereo Honey burst onto the scene last year with their debut ‘Where No One Knows Your Name’ and break-through track ‘The Heart’, they earnt themselves critical acclaim from The Independent and Radio X, both dubbing them ‘Ones To Watch’ in 2018.
Following the release of their debut EP ‘Monuments’ in December, the band -comprised of Jake Black (drums), Nicky Boiardi (guitar), Ben Edwards (Bass) and Pete Restrick (lead vocals)- have since gained pride of place on the cover of Spotify’s ‘Top of the Rock’ playlist, with the lead single ‘The Bay’ featuring on popular playlists ‘The Indie List’ and ‘Hot New bands’.
Their invigorating and soulful indie rock has seen the group support The Amazons at their Brit Awards/War Child show, play their debut headline show at London’s Electrowerkz before performing at emerging talent festival The Great Escape.
Whilst spending their summer performing small shows all over the UK and at festivals such as All Points East, Truck, Boardmasters, Reading & Leeds, Stereo Honey have released singles ‘What Makes a Man’, ‘You’re the One’ and ‘Don’t Speak’ on LAB records with the latter earning praise from Billboard for its ‘raw vocals and anthemic beats’.
Stereo Honey will be playing an intimate show at Birmingham’s Sunflower Lounge before performing at Manchester’s Neighbourhood festival this October alongside Sundara Karma, Everything Everything and Temples.
