The Story So Far formed in 2007 and quickly became one of the biggest names in the new wave of pop punk. The band consists of Parker Cannon (vocals), Kelen Capener (bass), Kevin Geyer (lead guitar), Will Levy (rhythm guitar) and Ryan Torf (drums), and were signed to Pure Noise Records (Four Year Strong, Less Than Jake, Boston Manor) in 2010 which kicked off their career.
They have released three albums and three original EPs, as well as three collaborative EPs with other bands including Stick To Your Guns. They released their last album which was self-titled three years ago, leaving fans full of anticipation. DIY commented that “With their third album The Story So Far continue to lead the charge for their niche, their ability to keep things sounding fresh and new after years as a staple of the genre holding them not only in high regard within the scene but beyond it.”
In September 2017 they hinted at the coming their fourth record through the release of their single ‘Out of It’. It was released on a special edition 7″ vinyl in which all the proceeds were donated to The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.
The Story So Far were named after pop punk giants New Found Glory’s 2002 track of the same name, and have since inspired smaller bands in the scene such as Roam, who are named after their track from their Under Soil and Dirt album in 2011.
The band will be on tour this October, accompanied by post-hardcore five-piece Citizen and alternative solo artist All Get Out.
