Starcrawler are an alternative indie 4-piece made up of lead vocalist Arrow de Wilde, guitarist Henri Cash, drummer Austin Smith and bassist Tim Franco. Gigwise recently stated that “Starcrawler are simply the most exciting – and best – band Rough Trade have signed in years.”
The foursome are known for their squalling riffs and thundering beats, while their incendiary live shows are truly captivating. Their self-titled 10-track debut was released in January, and features hit single ‘I Love LA’. ‘I Love LA’ is a grunge-pop ballad reminiscent of a modern-day Blondie with big hooks you’ll have stuck in your head for hours.
They are also the first act to take part in the new global re-launch of DSCVR – Vevo’s flagship emerging artist program supporting and championing the best new music from artists creating buzz all over the world. Capturing live performances in a newly designed bespoke set, DSCVR serves masterful video content to a global audience, and Starcrawler’s session will be the first of many chances for new music fans to watch amazing performances as part of the re-launched series.
