15-year-old viral sensation Danielle Bregoli, also known as Bhad Bhabie, has conquered the Internet and is now taking on the music industry.
She first rose to fame in 2016 when she appeared on an episode of the American talk show Dr Phil and coined the phrase “Cash me outside, how ’bout dah” which quickly became a popular meme on Twitter. Portraying herself as quite the business woman, she developed this catchphrase into her brand and even produced merchandise. According to the BBC, the video of her Dr Phil appearance is the most-watched on the show’s YouTube channel, having amassed more than 46 million views.
The controversy around her claim to fame hasn’t stopped her from showcasing her other talents and staying in the limelight as an extreme rapper. Her debut single ‘The Heaux’, which was released in August 2017, exploded on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the youngest female rap artist to debut on the music chart.
She has since been signed to Atlantic Records, who also look after Cardi B and Ed Sheeran, and released six more singles.
