Introducing… Tom Walker

Share:

Mancunian singer/songwriter Tom Walker made a name for himself after signing to Relentless Records in 2015. Studying songwriting at university and living in a house-share with 12 other musicians, he’s refined his music into the atmospheric, soulful belters they are today.

Raised on his dad’s record collection, he took a shine to acts from AC/DC, Bob Marley and Ray Charles. He’s developed interesting vocals, sounding like a pleasant mix of Passenger and Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons, with an overall sound similar to the likes of Bastille and Hozier. Despite these comparisons, Walker maintains a high level of originality in the genre, boasting big choruses to contrast with mellow verses.

In 2016, he released two singles, ‘Sun Goes Down’ and ‘Fly Away With Me’, which caught listeners’ interest, and prepared them for his debut EP Blessings. Walker’s biggest single to date, ‘Leave A Light On’ hit the charts hard in 2017, placing in the Top 10 in five countries. So far he has 50 million streams to his name and climbing.

Having previously supported George Ezra, The Script and Jake Bugg on tour, Walker is well-known for his effortless charm onstage, so get down to his upcoming shows to experience it for yourself.
