Introducing… Declan Mckenna

Share:

Declan McKenna has announced his UK headline tour for the Autumn, including his biggest headline show to date at London’s KOKO.

The new live dates follow the recent release of Declan’s critically acclaimed debut album, What Do You Think About The Car? and his show-stealing performances at the Reading & Leeds Festivals over the weekend.

The tour will mark a meteoric twelve months for the eighteen-year-old Brit who has toured the world relentlessly with his melody-heavy indie pop songs, each fizzing with those insatiable guitar hooks and Declan’s socially conscious lyrical nous. The thirteen-date run will kick off with a hometown show in High Wycombe on the 5th October, and concludes on the 3rd November at London’s Koko, interspersed with another spate of dates across Europe.

As an artist who interacts regularly with his fanbase on social media, the energy and elation in the ever increasing sized rooms when the artist and fans are all brought together, makes for an incredible atmosphere and experience.

In a very short period of time, the recently turned 18 years old has become synonymous with wrapping his fizzing alt-pop songs in smart, engaged lyrical content. It’s been a timely arrival for this young British musician who doesn’t proclaim to have all the answers, but believes it his duty to at least pose a few pertinent questions.
