Gig Preview: Bry

Although it won’t come as a surprise to any of his fans, we’re pleased to announce Bry will be on a tour of the UK later this month, including dates at Manchester Deaf Institute and London Camden Assembly. With a goal of performing in every country in the world, the Irish singer-songwriter hasn’t wasted a second and is constantly on the road. Having toured 66 countries so far – including the UK countless times – in just a few years, he’s almost half way there!

Making his YouTube debut in 2010, Brian O’Reilly used social media to form his now avid and dedicated worldwide fanbase who are helping him achieve this dream. In 2018, he crowdfunded his fourth EP Love Pop Suicide via Indiegogo, aiming to only raise £10,000. He actually amassed £12,000 in just three days and the closed campaign stands with over £14,000. The funding meant that the acoustic soloist could bring in a full band to create a fuller indie sound inspired by Biffy Clyro. The EP features the singles ‘Miserable’, ‘Godsend’, ‘Burn’, and ‘Anything’.

Just last week, he released a brand new song ‘Why Are You Bothering With Me?’ – a slow, melancholy track that refers back to his acoustic roots but is enhanced through strings and keys.

Bry last played these two cities in 2017 (check out our live review of Manchester here!) and so much has changed since. Experimenting with new instruments, genres and attitudes, we can’t wait to see what he’ll bring!
