Introducing… Mabel

Mabel first carved out her place in the music scene with 2017 mega-hit ‘Finders Keepers’ which featured hip-hop artist Kojo Funds. ‘Finders Keepers’ spent five weeks in the top 10 and has nearly 56 million streams on Spotify, becoming one of the hottest tracks to come out of 2017. Following this success, Mabel has since worked with Jax Jones and Rich the Kid on ‘Ring Ring’, and RAYE and Stefflon Don on ‘Cigarette’, two songs which have had huge success in the charts.

She received her musical genes from her parents, Cameron McVey- a musician and music producer who has worked with All Saints, Portishead and Massive Attack- and Neneh Cherry a singer-songwriter and rapper, who has been releasing music since the late 80’s and won several awards including a Brit Award.

Already this year, Mabel was nominated for her first BRIT Award (Critics’ Choice), toured across Europe and the UK with Harry Styles, seen her smash hit single ‘Fine Line’ go Gold and played a 13-date headline tour across Europe. Through her hard work and seemingly effortless song-writing skills, Mabel has emerged as one of the UK’s most refreshing and positive young musical role models, with songs that frequently explore everything from female independence and the challenges of modern relationships to growing up, and into your own skin. Subjects which resonate deep within society in the modern age.

Mabel has just released the music video to her most recent single ‘One Shot’, which has already had promising success within the few weeks it has been out. She was featured as the cover to three major UK new music playlists (Spotify’s New Music Friday, Amazon Music’s Brand New Music and Deezer’s Brand New UK), where she peaked at the number 1 and 2 spots. She went on Capital Breakfast to premier the track, where the station then played the track straight after midnight once it was released. It’s a much-needed injection of summer that we all need whilst autumn creeps in.

To round off an incredible 2018, Mabel is heading on tour around the UK this November/December, including dates at Newcastle, Manchester and Leeds. This is her biggest headline tour to date and will feature all her massive songs, making each show like one big party.
