Formed in 2014, Australian musicians and producers, Alex Nicholls and Lachlan Bostock, joined up with singer Jack Froggart and began working on pop/rock music that they infused with electronic and indie styles.
Fast forward 4 years and they have grown a huge following, with song ‘Easier’ gaining over 23 million plays on Spotify, and they have supported huge artists such as Alt-J and Florence and the Machine.
Now, their new single ‘Falling’, released on 12th September, is showing to boost the band even further.
Soft, high lead vocals backed by intertwining harmonies and chants, the music swirls around creating beautiful melodies that lift you up and get you lost in the whole song from start to finish. A song about holding onto the people around you and accepting what life may give you, it includes emotionally evoking lyrics such as ‘I think I’ll borrow tomorrow’s happiness for today’ and ‘I tried to reach for the ceiling, scared that I’m letting you down’.
‘Falling’ has achieved incredible statistics across charts and streaming platforms since its release. It was on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in countries such as the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Iceland and Switzerland.
It featured on Spotify’s ‘Mood Booster’ playlist, which has 2.6 million followers and Pop Rising, which has 1.4 million followers.
‘Falling’ reached number 2 on Apple Music’s Best of the Week playlist in Australia and also reached the number 3 spot on other Apple Music playlists such as The A-List Alternative (in US and Australia), Feels and Today at Apple. It was number 4 on Amazons ‘Introducing’ playlist and peaked at number 19 on Australia’s Alternative Tracks chart on iTunes.
