Alt-rock five-piece Marmozets formed in 2007, made up of two sets of siblings Becca Macintyre (vocals), Sam Macintyre (guitar/vocals) and Josh Macintyre (drums), as well as Jack Bottomley (guitar) and Will Bottomley (bass/vocals). They have since released 4 EPs and 2 full-length albums, with 2018’s Knowing What You Know Now being described by The Sunday Times Culture as “the ghost of My Chemical Romance”.
The band have received high levels of praise from many on the scene, with BBC Radio DJs Annie Mac, Scott Mills, Daniel P Carter and Huw Stephens regularly giving their new releases a spin. In 2013, after the release of their hit singles ‘Move Shake Hide’ and ‘Born Young and Free’, Big Cheese Magazine named them Best New UK Band.
They have appeared at a range of festivals including Download, Glastonbury, Slam Dunk and Reading & Leeds, as well as supported some of the biggest names in the genre such a Muse, Funeral For A Friend and Gallows.
Marmozets have built a cult underground following while embracing a new intensity within their controlled chaos.
